Refund policy

Digital downloads, ebooks, and print · Title IX Respondent

This policy applies to purchases through our checkout provider (Payhip). Prices and buy links are on the book page.

Digital downloads and ebooks

If you buy a PDF or ebook and the file is defective, incomplete, or cannot be downloaded after a good-faith attempt, contact [email protected] within 14 days of purchase. We will replace the file or refund the purchase price.

Because these are digital goods delivered immediately, refunds for change of mind, dislike of content, or after a successful download are generally not available — except where required by law (including any cooling-off rights that apply to you).

Print editions

Print-on-demand paperbacks that arrive damaged or defective may be replaced or refunded if you contact us within 30 days of delivery with a brief description and photos. Return shipping for defective copies will be covered. Opened print books that are not defective are typically not returnable once shipped, except where the seller or applicable law requires otherwise.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with your order email, order number or receipt, the product name, and the reason. We aim to respond within two business days. Refunds, when granted, are issued to the original payment method through the checkout provider.

Companion volume

The same terms apply to Respondent in Court when it is sold separately or as a bundle.

Not legal advice

Buying or refunding a book does not create an attorney-client relationship. See the disclaimer.
